Born in Panevėžys, the fifth-largest city in the northern European country, Alex Spirikaitis began his education at Panevėžys Polytechnic School before relocating to the United States. In Cleveland, he continued his business coursework at Cleveland State University and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the Nance College of Business Administration.
Before matriculating at Cleveland State University, Alex Spirikaitis worked as a Blacksmith at Cleveland Frog & Crossing Co., one of the most prominent railway manufacturing companies in the area’s history. Formed in the late 19th century on the strength of its patented railroad frog, Cleveland Frog & Crossing came under the ownership of Pettibone Corp. in the mid-20th century. At the present-day Pettibone Ohio Corp., Alex Spirikaitis forged specialized railroad track equipment and helped increase the factory’s productivity during his time there. He later joined the sales staff of Coles Shoes, a local Edison Brothers store, and rose to the position of Assistant Manager after consistently demonstrating his sales leadership.
Alex Spirikaitis remains involved with Lithuanian Scouting. The organization is a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement and the Baltic country’s largest official scouting organization. As a Lithuanian Scout for more than 20 years, he participates in the association’s active overseas movement and has achieved the “Skautu” rank of scoutmaster.view less
