Construction price: $19.5 million Number of jobs created during construction: 250 Operating cost of OFallon Recreation Center: $2.1 million Expected revenue from membership and program fees: $900,000 Financial Aid: Based on standard YMCA formula. Families with income below $31,000 will get a 10% to 90% discount, depending on situation. The operating agreement will include general language about the YMCAs policy and formula. (The YMCA will use the same formula and policy from the Monsanto and Carondelet YMCA centers. Every YMCA member is treated the same without regard to where they live or which facility they use.) 80% of the members at the Monsanto YMCA get some financial assistance. 1300 low income kids will get $25 memberships at the OFallon Recreation Center. YMCA will contract with Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis to provide programming at OFallon Recreation Center for at-risk kids. The $100,000 cost will come from the YMCA operating agreement rather than Proposition S funds. YMCA offers same financial aid at Carondelet and Monsanto facilities. The YMCA and the Boys and Girls Clubs have both approved a Memorandum of Understanding on how they will work together.
