Pre Production!
Joe White, a director also famous for his films Pride and Prejudice and Atonement directed the film Anna Karenina which was originally a popular Russian novel wrote by Leo Tols. The production company being Working Title, a British company which specialises in British films, suck as Notting Hill. A-list actors such as Kieran Knightly and Aaron Johnson.

Post Production!
As working Title specialises in British films, the location was set dominantly in the UK, in a theatre; a new take in the filming of Anna Karenina. This is what made the film so original; staging the film in a theatre to emphasise the motif of having to play a role in society to fit in with majority.

Marketing!
The marketing technique, was primarily targeted at the target audience in which the film was aiming for, rather than aiming to a wider audience than what they were targeting. The techniques used ideas such as News Papers, Billboards, Trailers which were shown in television at a certain time for when the majority their target audience shall stereotypically be back from work (7pm+), and before certain films which the audience maybe interested as well. (The target audience being of an older, intelligent consumer rather than a young, feel good film.)

Distribution
Anna Karenina was released in: Canada, Ireland & UK, on the 7th September Honk Kong 8th November USA 16th November France 5th December First to release in the United Kingdom as Working Title Film Company is British, and other film loving countries to see reaction of consumer. It is a positive reaction the film shall then be released in more areas such as Sweden.
