Line

A line is an element of art which refers to the continuous mark made on some surface by a moving point.

Characteristic of Line are:

Widththick, thin, tapering, uneven Length - long, short, continuous, broken Direction- horizontal, vertical, diagonal, curving, perpendicular, oblique, parallel, radial, zigzag Focussharp, blurry, fuzzy, choppy Feelingsharp, jagged, graceful, smooth

The focus for the line assignment will be

Contour drawing Zen tangles Color theory (Tints & Shades)

 The Line Unit will have three assignments: 3 line composition (classwork grade) circle zen tangle (quiz grade) Contour line zen tangle animal (test grade)
