What have you learnt through the progression from your school magazine to the final music magazine?

I think that from my preliminary task (my School magazine cover and contents) I have learnt a lot mostly about house style, and layout. The house style was quite inconsistent on my school magazine, and both pages seemed to contain different colour schemes and font styles. For my music magazine I have made sure that the colour schemes and font styles are very similar, and link the pages together well. In order to do this I have stuck mostly to a black and white cover scheme, except in the contents page, where instead I have used a very pale yellow colour as the basis for the background. This was done because the images used in the foreground of the image would not have been very visible against a black and white background, so I therefore had to change the colours slightly. I have made sure that the new colour is similarly dark to the rest. The fonts used have remained almost the same, and around 3 or 4 different fonts were used in total, which were a mix of plain bold text and a script style of writing. I have learnt many different skills using Photoshop through the creation of both of these products, and as a result I found the creation of my Music magazine a lot easier due to my previous experience of using this program for my School magazine.
