Greendale Elementary Parent Advisory Committee

Come be a part of Greendales Parent Advisory Committee. It is an opportunity to work closely with other parents for the betterment of the school. It is a place where your voice can be heard and make a difference. Come and have input on what your school looks like. PAC also is here to educate parents and help to organize fundraisers that supplement your childs learning environment. Nominations for the Parent Advisory Committee Executive positions for the 2013/2014 school year will be accepted until Wednesday May 3rd, 2011. We will be having our AGM on Thursday May 14th at 7:00 PM in the library at which time we will elect the new executive. Everyone is welcome to attend! President: Prepares agenda for meetings, facilitates meetings, consults PAC members regularly, liaises with principal, attends or promotes attendance to DPAC meetings.

Vice President: Assumes responsibilities of the President in Presidents absence, be representative to the DPAC (one evening per month meeting) Secretary: Treasurer: Records and distributes minutes of meetings, keeps all records for council. receives funds for council, makes deposits, disperses funds, responsible for accounts of PAC, prepares financial reports, and helps executive with draft budget.

Parent Education: Upkeep parent bulletin board, prepares and distribute PAC newsletter, review and help with educational forums. School Planning Council (3): Voted on in the Fall. Represent and speak on behalf of the PAC at SPC meetings. Not on the executive, though immensely important and needed: District Parent Advisory Council Rep. (one evening meeting a month and report at PAC meetings)
