The Center for Non-Profit Management completed a
report on Bethlehem Centers of Nashville and its
viability in the current economic environment. The
study found that BCN’s programs are in demand, that
management and board have sound policies and are
generating good, quality information needed for critical
decision making but need immediate financial support.
The report also recommends developing a Contingency
Plan. The BCN Board accepted the report and is in the
process of developing/implementing a plan.

Sunshine Group Events
Plans for June 2nd are to go to Ashland City
for a river cruise on the Blue Heron. This is
a 24-passenger pontoon boat that travels the
Cumberland River viewing wild birds and
scenic wildlife. The boat trip is at 10:00
a.m. and leaves from the Riverview
Restaurant. We’ll eat at the restaurant
following the boat trip. We will take the
church bus from the Expo Design Center
parking lot at 9:30 that morning. Please
contact Mary Alice Miles (292-3814) if you
are interested in going.

Sat., May 16, 8:30a-1:30p “I Believe In Jesus,” the 2nd Mission
Study. All invited. Please bring a salad for the luncheon. Led by
Willodene Broderick. Location: Fellowship Hall
This study deals with 4 key components: a) the gift of faith in Christ,
b) the meaning of faith in Jesus, c) whose faith counts, and d) faith in
Jesus in a postmodern world. The community of faith calls on one to
choose, to let others know your faith, to nurture ones faith and to live
faithful lives. Also, the “belief” is to have an intimate relationship
with Jesus Christ. Hope to see you there!

Donation at the door is $5.00 and this will get you a
hearty pancake breakfast complete with Canadian
Bacon and your choice of orange juice,
apple juice, milk, or coffee.
Since this event will take place on Friday, May 22
from 7a - 1p, this is an excellent opportunity to tell
your colleagues and friends about this opportunity.
It’s for a great cause, and a good chance to take a
business breakfast or lunch down to the church!
Troop 219 also asks that if you have any items in
like-new condition or if your business has any items
to donate towards a silent auction, to please bring
those to the church before the brunch at
7a on May 22.
In addition to the silent auction, there will also be a
bake sale at the Scout Brunch, so anyone wishing to
donate baked goods for the bake sale is greatly
appreciated. Thank you!
