Um dia, Jesus mandou que seus discpulos entrassem no barco e partissem para o outro lado do lago.

One day, Jesus asked his disciples to get into their boat and go to the other side the lake.

Quando os discpulos foi embora, Jesus subiu sozinho para o monte a fim de orar. A noite veio e Jesus permanecia ali, sozinho.
Jesus then went up on a mountain where he could be alone and pray. Later that evening, he was still there.

O barco, no entanto, j se encontrava h vrios quilmetros da praia e estava sendo sacudido pelas ondas, pois o vento soprava contra ele.
Meanwhile, the disciples' boat was a long way from land. They were in danger, because a storm had come up and the boat was being tossed around by the waves and the wind.

Jesus foi ao encontro deles andando em cima do lago.

Jesus decided to go to them, so he walked on top of the water across the lake toward the boat!

Os discpulos viram a Jesus caminhando sobre as guas. Eles ficaram apavorados e disseram: um fantasma!e gritaram de medo.
When the disciples saw Jesus, they didnt recognize Him. They were terrified and yelled, Its a ghost!

Jesus imediatamente lhes disse: Coragem! Sou eu. No tenham medo!

Jesus called out to them and said, "Do not be afraid. It is I!"

Mas Pedro disse: Se o senhor mesmo, Senhor, mande que eu v andando em cima da gua at onde est. Jesus lhe disse: Venha!
Then Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." Jesus told Peter, "Come!"

E Pedro, saindo do barco, andou em cima da gua em direo a Jesus. Porm, ao sentir o forte vento, Pedro teve medo e comeou a afundar.
So, Peter got out of the boat and started walking to Jesus on the surface of the water. But after a short distance, he turned his eyes away from Jesus and began to look at the strong wind and waves.

Pedro imediatamente gritou: Salve-me, Senhor! Jesus estendeu a sua mo e, segurando-o, disse-lhe: Como a sua f pequena! Por que que voc duvidou?
Then Peter became afraid and began to sink. He cried out, "Lord, save me!" Jesus reached out right away and grabbed him. Then he said to Peter, Peter, you have so little faith. Why did you doubt?"

Jesus e Pedro subiu ao barco com eles e o vento se acalmou. Os discpulos o adoraram e disseram: Realmente o senhor o Filho de Deus!
When Jesus and Peter got into the boat, the wind died down. The disciples worshiped Jesus and said, You really are the Son of God!

Quem confia em Jesus pode ter paz no meio da tempestade. A Bblia diz " Voc, Deus, conservar em perfeita paz quele que pensa sempre em Voc, porque ele confia em Voc." (Isaas 26:3)

When you truly trust Jesus, you can have peace in the midst of storm . The Bible says, You (God) will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is fixed on You because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3)
