Smartronix announces it has won an initial $9.5 million task order award for the complete
redesign of the Recovery.gov Web site. The task order includes the procurement, installation,
configuration, security, and 24x7 operation and maintenance of a robust, secure, and highly
available web infrastructure to support millions of users. A mirrored continuity of operations
environment is also included in this award. If all options are exercised, the award is valued at
$18 million over five years.
“Smartronix is honored to have been selected to redesign the Recovery.gov 2.0 Web site,” said
Smartronix CEO John Parris. “We have assembled the best team to meet the contract’s complex
requirements and have immediately begun work to meet the Recovery.gov 2.0’s aggressive
schedule. We look forward to working with the Recovery Accountability and Transparency
Board and our partners to develop a solution that will allow the American taxpayer to see how
the money from the The American Recovery and Investment Act of 2009 (ARRA) is being
distributed and managed.”
As the prime contractor, Smartronix has compiled a highly skilled team of industry experts with
exceptional past performances to ensure that the redesign of the Recovery.gov Web site will
have the best architecture, security and usability to foster greater accountability and transparency
in the use of covered funds issued under the ARRA. Smartronix teammates include KPMG LLP,
Synteractive Corporation and TMP Government.
Smartronix will be providing cyber security, infrastructure, systems engineering and data
warehousing support for this award. KPMG LLP will provide financial, policy, and reporting
knowledge regarding the ARRA as well as data management and coordination support.
Synteractive Corporation will be providing strategy and business solutions utilizing Web 2.0
portal and collaborative technologies. TMP Government, a top digital agency specializing in the
-more-
