General Use Reproduction Reproductions are provided by Troup County Archives as a service to patrons for their private study and one time use on a fee for service basis (please see the Reproduction Form for fees).

Materials available online may be reproduced for educational use, including student research and educator use, free of charge. When reproduced materials are used for educational reasons, or use in papers please cite Troup County Archives and all others, use the credit line: Courtesy Troup County Archives, LaGrange, GA. Permission to Publish Permission to obtain copies does not constitute permission to publish or reprint the photocopied or reproduced materials. If you wish to publish reproduction material from the Troup County Archives, you must request permission from the Executive Director (kaye@trouparchives.org). Images published on a web site are also subject to this procedure. Please contact us for commercial use fees. Each reproduction must carry the following credit line: Courtesy Troup County Archives, LaGrange, Georgia. Permission is granted for a one-time use only. Material may not be reused without permission of the Director. TCA requests that the user furnish one complimentary copy of the issue of the periodical or book in which the reproduction(s) appear. Copyright Information The patron assumes full responsibility for any infringement on copyright or for any other legal issues, such as libel or invasion of privacy, which may arise from the patron's use of the copies. Persons using unpublished materials (including photographs and materials in digital formats) are protected by the copyright law (Title 17 U.S. Code) and any use beyond "fair use" may be an infringement. General Guidelines Patrons wishing to have images saved to CD should specify resolution and the type of file (JPEG, TIFF, etc.) required. Those wishing to have images emailed should also specify resolution, and be aware that only JPEG images can be sent via email. Resolution range is typically between 72 and 400 dpi. If no format or resolution is specified, images will be scanned at 300 dpi.

Reproduction orders are completed in the order in which they are received. If materials are needed in less than five business days from receipt of order, rush fees may apply. Rush orders are subject to availability. Right to Refuse The Troup County Archives strives to provide all collection materials for reproduction to the extent permitted by the law when such reproduction furthers its mission. However, the Archives reserves the right to refuse to permit reproduction and may impose additional conditions as it sees fit in the best interests of the Troup County Archives. Such determination will be made by the Executive Director.
