Quando Jesus se aproximava de uma vila, dez homens com lepra foram ao seu encontro.

Eles pararam a certa distncia e gritaram: Jesus, tenha pena de ns! As Jesus entered a village one day, ten men with leprosy approached him. These men stood at a distance and called out to Jesus. Jesus, have mercy on us!

Quando Jesus os viu, disse: Vo e apresentem-se aos sacerdotes. (De acordo com o costume dos judeus, depois de um leproso ser curado, tinha que apresentar-se ao sacerdote para que este confirmasse a sua cura.)

Jesus saw them and told them, Go, show yourselves to the priest. (According to the custom of the Jews, after a leper had been healed, he was to present himself to the priest to verify his healing.)

Os homens obedeceram e, quando estavam a caminho de ver o sacerdote, foram curados.

The men obeyed and as they went on their way to see the priest, they were healed!

Um deles, quando percebeu que estava curado, voltou atrs e se ajoelhou aos ps de Jesus, e lhe agradeceu.

One man, when he saw he was healed, turned back. He knelt at Jesus feet and thanked him.

Jesus lhe perguntou: No foram dez os homens que foram curados? Onde esto os outros nove? Nenhum deles voltou atrs para dar graas a Deus?

Jesus then asked Werent ten healed? Where are the others? Has no one else returned to thank God except this man?

O Senhor no Se importa que tiremos dEle tudo aquilo que tem para ns, mas, em contrapartida, espera que expressemos gratido e considerao. Ele quer que manifestemos nossa alegria por todas as ddivas que nos concede e pela maravilhosa maneira como zela por ns! God doesnt mind our taking all that He has for us, but in return He looks for our thanks and appreciation. He wants us to acknowledge that we are pleased with all the gifts that He has given us and how He takes care of us so well!
