Stewardship Spotlight
STEWARDSHIP IS GUIDED BY DIVINE WISDOM
When God created man, he included freedom. In His divine wisdom, He willed that man, the master of creation, should exercise his freedom as part of the process of his maturing and self-fulfillment. As trusted stewards, God gave us choices in life and He expects that we make the right choices. Before us are choices of life or death, good or evil, joy or misery. Every choice has its own consequences. Many times, based on selfishness and human weakness, we choose what seem to be advantageous to us. Later we realize that our choice is not right, because our ways are not Gods ways. St. Paul speaks of wisdom that comes from God that the world cannot understand because it is not attuned to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. This wisdom leads us to making right choices that are pleasing to God. The bible is full of stories that teach about wisdom, from the practical guides to daily life to discerning the deep mysteries of God. This is the wisdom that comes from Gods Spirit that allows us to see the plan of God and follow His will. This wisdom enables us to see the deeper meaning of Gods laws and helps us to obey them. Good Stewardship involves the works of Gods Spirit, from recognizing His divine plan to making the right choices and following the commandments of God. The consequences bring abundant blessings like peace, joy and sense of security in Gods care.
