Fact Finding Meetings

We regularly come across cases where members are denied the
right to a representative in Fact Finding Meetings.
We also come across cases where people don't know they are in a
Fact Finding.

IF IN DOUBT ASK!
It is a shame we need to remind people, but unfortunately we come
across this far to often. So here are your rights:
If the manager believes it may lead to a disciplinary they must
suspend and allow you to invite a rep
If the member requests an adjournment at any time this must be
granted.
A fact nding is rarely held in the best interests of a member. If in
doubt ask.

HSCC
The question on everyones lips
at the moment is what about
Hammersmith. Put simply,
Nobody knows. Having spent
several years and more than
several millions of pounds LUL
have decided to change their
minds altogether and cancel
the Bombardier contract. As a
result the job safety of all
grades are in question.

Earls Court
We have been told the latest
plan is to provide a life
extendancy programme for
Earls Court. Which means it
could potentially stay open
until 2020.

What does this mean for you?
In basic terms it means your
job is there for longer. It also
provides a place for SO1-3
grades to move to from the
cabins.
This suggests, although we
haven't had this conrmed
formally, that Earls Court and
Piccadilly staff WILL NOT go to
Hammersmith Service Control
Centre.

Power Control Room Strike
Some members were asked to ll in for the PCRO "Power Control
Room Operatives# whilst they were on strike. Fortunately this was
seen by the members for what it is, unsafe, immoral and dangerous.
The PCRO sta$ need to have a degree. LUL management believe
that two days training and a license that might as well have come
from a Kinder Egg is su%cient. We know otherwise.

Please remember, if you are approached in the future to do similar
things consult with your rep before responding. There is no excuse
for asking members to perform these roles. It may be dressed up as
part of your development. In which case a good rule of thumb is if
it sounds unsafe&it is unsafe.

Every Job Matters
We all know the latest cuts will
affect Service Control too.
your pensions will be
threatened
your passes will be threatened
no station staff means nobody
to assist Service Control staff
The latest talks have achieved
nothing. Despite the best
attempts by the RMT LUL have
refused to concede a single
point.

Make no doubt this is a
deliberate stalling tactic.

Remember, we want a safe and
accessible tube that is affordable
for all. We cannot achieve that
whilst LUL are refusing to budge.
