WARLORD 40,000

2010
Running now for the third consecutive year, Warlord 40,000 thunders on like a Leman Russ Battle
Tank, with players new and old vying for the Warlord Trophy 2010!

What Players Will Need:

Warhammer 40,000 5th Edition
Cities of Death Expansion (for the 5th mission, otherwise there is no point in having this here)
Army (undercoated at a minimum)
Dice, tape maeasure, FAQ’s (available if needed), codex for your chosen army

Army Lists:
All Lists are to be 1750 points and picked from the appropriate F.O.C.
All lists to be exchanged before the games begin and any special rules explained (but no
secrets have to be revealed)
Special Characters ARE allowed
Lists should be submitted on, or by, Monday 25th January 2010. As this is when the league
will start. After this, for all league games thereafter the same list must be used. This is to
avoid armies being tailored towards scenarios or opponents.

Choosing Opponents:
For Game 1, opponents will be randomly assigned on the night (names out of a hat).
From Game 2 onwards, opponents will be decided the week before
All players MUST play each other once, this will mean X games per player

Playing the Game:

Players arrive by 7.30pm or earlier (or later if pre-arranged).
Games begin by 8 at the latest.
This means a 2 and a half hour time limit as a minimum per player, up to 3 and a half hours if
the games play to turn 7.
Games should be wrapped up by 10pm (depending on start time) and results in by 10.30pm.

Scenarios:
Deployment is rolled prior to the game
Game 1: Seize Ground (40k Rulebook)
o Always start with 5 Objectives
Game 2: Capture and Control (40k Rulebook)
Game 3: Annihilation (40k Rulebook)
Game 4: Table Quarters
o Only Troops can capture or contest
Game 5: Firesweep (Cities of Death Book)
Game 6: Take the High Ground (Cities of Death Book)
Point Scoring:

within 3” of the central building.

Post-Game:
After each game, all players must fill in the post-game report sheets handed out.
On this must be player A’s name, Player B’s name and both scores clearly labelled.
As well as this, it must include both Players Kill Points in that game.
This will then be used to calculate a KP Difference to separate ties in the league.
These sheets must then be emailed, handed to or text to Jamie.
A League table will then be drawn up and posted on the website as soon as possible.

Time Frame:
We have up until the AGM in the first week of April to play 6 games.
These will be an alternating fortnightly, so if you play in Week 1, you do not need to play
your next game until Week 3.
However, work and family permitting, players are free to arrange games to be played on the
“Off-Week” or Sunday and miss the game week, so long as the results are given to Jamie.

Prizes:
Warlord Trophies
o The player ranked 1st in the league by the end of the night at the AGM will be
crowned Warlord 40,000 2010 and be presented with a 1st Place medal to keep and
the Warlord trophy to retain until next year.
o The players ranked 2nd and 3rd will receive their respective medals.
Best Army
o On the AGM night, players fill in a slip for the player whose army you think is the
best painted / converted / themed army. This it put in a box and votes tallied.

club and the possibility of a trophy or award for everyone!

know ASAP and I will rectify them.
