MeGRATH, PH 6949 CIRCUMSTANCES OF ARREST: 32 year old Jessica Doreen became the victim of Murder with a Deadly Weapon at approximately 1836 hours on Sunday, December 20, 2015, when Lakeisha Holloway drove her 1996 Oldsmobile onto the sidewalk in front of the Planet Hollywood and Paris Hotel and Casinos, striking Doreen and numerous other people. Doreen was transported to the University Medical Center Trauma Unit for medical care where she died from her injuries. Holloway had her 3 year old daughter, inside of her vehicle at the time she left the northbound travel lane of South Las Vegas Boulevard in front of the Planet Hollywood, traveled down the crowded sidewalk, across a pedestrian walk-way and down the crowded sidewalk in front of the Paris Hotel, striking more than twenty-five people in the process. Holloway then left the scene and drove approximately one mile on a flat tire before driving onto the property of another hotel and contacting a security officer, asking them to call the police because she had just hit several people, Holloway was taken into custody at approximately 1910 hours and Mirandized by Traffic Officer T. Durrett, Pit 8577. She was transported to the Clark County Detention Genter where was Mirandized a second time during a Drug Recognition Evaluation and a blood draw was performed under the authority of a search warrant obtained by Traffic Officer M, Scanlon, P# 13517. She was then transported to the LVMPD Headquarters facility where she was interviewed by Detectives Raetz and Sanborn. Holloway stated she and her daughter were the only people inside her Oldsmobile and she was obviously behind the wheel. She described a stressful period of time today where she was trying to restisleep inside her vehicle with her daughter but kept getting run off by security of the properties she stopped at. She ended up on the strip, “a place she did not want to be.” She would not explain why she drove onto the sidewalk but remembered a body bouncing off of her windshield, breaking it.
