A survey of likely June 2016 Primary election voters in Californias 46th Congressional District
shows Lou Correa, a Democrat, with a significant lead over all candidates in the field
(Figure 1).1 Correa leads all candidates, including Republican Adam Nick by 25 percentage points and
all other candidates by roughly 30 percentage points.

This support is evident across most of the Districts demographic groups including men, women, union
members, nonunion members, whites, nonwhites, all age groups and in the two largest cities in the
District Anaheim and Santa Ana.

Methodology: A telephone survey among 405 voters likely to vote in the June primary shows Lou Correa in a strong
position leading a multi-candidate field by a wide margin. The survey was conducted from December 13-16, 2015 from a
voter list and has a margin of error of +/- 4.9%.

After hearing positive paragraphs about each of the Democrats, Correas support increased to 43%. Nick
remained in second place at 12% and the other three Democrats remained in the single digits, with Nguyen
and Dunn each winning 7% support.
Of the four potential Democratic candidates, Correa is by far the best known and enjoys a far superior
favorable rating to the others (Figure 2):

*Brandman announced he was not running for Congress during the final night of interviewingthe public
news of his decision did not break until after the survey was completed.
As a result of this strong name recognition and favorable standing, Correa enjoys a huge lead over
the other Democratsin fact, they also trail a potential Republican candidateAdam Nickin the
June primary, where of course the top two candidates, regardless of party affiliation, will advance to the
general election.
