Obituaries
Gene Geno Marvin Brown
Gene Geno Marvin Brown, born Sept. 25, 1921, in
Nebraska to Ernest and Josephine Brown, died peacefully at
Brookdale Senior Living in Redwood
City, California.
He was 95.
Gene served in the U.S. Army 95th
Infantry Division in World War II from
1942 to 1945. Gene moved to Redwood
City in 1958, where he retired from San
Mateo County in 1983. He also worked
for the Redwood City Parks Department
until 2002. Husband for 72 years to
Betty Brown who preceded him in death in 2015. Father of
daughters Doreta (John) Scott, Imogene (Bob) Lowe and
Jeanette Brown. Grandfather of Rebecca Lowe and Nicholas
Brown. Gene is also survived by his sister Marylouise
Sharp of Hastings, Nebraska. He is preceded in death by his
sisters, Gladys Brown, Elsie Porter, Ernestine Springer and
his brothers Floyd Brown, Louis Brown and Robert Brown.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service
