Tan Sri Dato' Seri (Dr.

) Mohd Saleh Sulong, the Group Chairman of

DRB-HICOM Berhad was appointed to the Board on 26 June 1992. Before

assuming his current position as Group Chairman on 5 March 1997, he was

the Group Managing Director. He is the Chairman of the Board Executive

Committee and a member of the Board Remuneration Committee.

Tan Sri Dato' Seri (Dr.) Mohd Saleh Sulong is a member of the

Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, United Kingdom. He served

as an Accountant of Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad, Cycle & Carriage

(Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and United Cycle Sdn Bhd for 10 years before his

appointment as Executive Director of the Master-Carriage Group of

Companies in 1984. Besides being involved in the motor industry for more

than 28 years, he has acquired vast experience in other business activities,

which include financial services, public utility services, insurance, property

and construction.

Tan Sri Dato' Seri (Dr.) Mohd Saleh Sulong is also the Chairman of

HICOM Holdings Berhad, Gadek (Malaysia) Berhad, Edaran Otomobil

Nasional Berhad, EON Bank Berhad, EON Finance Berhad, Horsedale

Development Berhad and South East Asia Insurance Berhad and several

private limited companies under DRB-HICOM.

 He also serves on the Board of Directors of Eastern Pacific Industrial

Corporation Berhad, MCL Land Limited (Singapore), Malaysian Industry-

Government Group for High Technology, Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional

Berhad and Lembaga Kemajuan Terengganu Tengah. Besides, he is also the

Chairman of Kolej Universiti Teknikal Kebangsaan Malaysia and Chairman of

the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Budiman Universiti Teknologi Mara, a

trustee of Malaysian Humanitarian Foundation and an Advisor for Malay

Chamber of Commerce Malaysia, City of Kuala Lumpur

Tan Sri Mohd Saleh bin Sulong is married to Puan Sri Akmal Abdul Salam. In the

year 2005, he resigned from DRB-HICOM Berhad. As a key of love to his wife, he

bought a house in Section 7, Shah Alam, worth estimated RM 5,000,000.00. The

property is named Villamay, and is managed by Beauty Unlimited Malaysia Sdn. Bhd, a

company owned by Puan Sri Akmal Abdul Salam. Currently, the villa is use to run a

wedding-consulting business.

Tan Sri Dato' Seri (Dr.) Mohd Saleh bin Sulong dilantik menjadi  Ahli Lembaga
Pengarah PUNB pada tahun 1997. Pada tahun yang sama, beliau dilantik menjadi
Pengerusi Kumpulan DRB-HICOM Berhad  sehingga tahun 2006 dimana sebelum itu,
beliau merupakan Pengarah Urusan Kumpulan syarikat tersebut.

Beliau juga ialah ahli kepada beberapa buah organisasi awam dan swasta seperti
Lembaga Amanah Yayasan Kebajikan Negara,Yayasan Budiman Universiti Teknologi
Mara dan Penasihat kepada Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia.

Selain penglibatan beliau dalam industri pemotoran selama 29 tahun, beliau juga

mempunyai pengalaman  yang luas dalam bidang perniagaan seperti perkhidmatan
kewangan, perkhidmatan kemudahan awam, insuran, hartanah dan pembinaan.
