Sheila Webber aka Sheila Yoshikawa
is Senior lecture in Department of Information Studies at the University of
Sheffield (UK) and Director of the Centre for Information Literacy Research.
Sheila focuses on Information Literacy. She is a member of Information
Literacy Section within IFLA. You may know her from couple conferences, like
Inforum 2010 (presentation) or IVIG 2010 (presentation), where she gave
speech on teaching information literacy in-world. She manages Infolid iSchool
island within Second Life, which we visit during the roundtable meeting.

Maryanne Maisano aka DrM Magic

works as Assistant Professor serving in the Department of Professional


Education at University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Maryanne is
currently involved in research using Immersive World Technology in both
online and face-to-face classes to facilitate instruction as well as continuous
professional development opportunities and teacher training seminars and
workshops. Her book, DEFINING EXCELLENCE: Culturally Responsive
Teaching for 21st Century Learners will be published in April 2011. You may know her from conference Disco
2010. She manages edu sim Cybrary squere within Second Life as well.
