Justifications for shot used
The long shot displays the couple walking into a wide open picturesque place, this connotes their happy relationship which contrasts with Katie and Chris's scene where they are in a car park.
This is a convention used in horror movies, it establishes the setting and the isolation of the character Katie. The panning shot is slow leaving the audience on edge waiting for something to be reveale
