Pastors Corner ~
The WORD OF GOD this Sunday tells us that following God through Christ His Son is never an easy road in life. There are always trials and crosses to build our characters and let our true value shine. Jesus made it clear that He Himself will not be spared from sufferings. Often, our prayers to God are petitions to spare us from hardships and to grant us the grace to make things easier for us. But Jesus teaches us today that crosses and hardships are inevitable if we desire to inherit eternal life. Our prayer may be better and more humble if we ask God not to take away our crosses but help us accept and carry them well through His grace. We WELCOME BACK our St. Columba School students and families for this new school year. Also, we welcome all new students and their families to our school. Thank you for choosing St. Columba and for continuing to trust us in helping your children to be formed and educated in the Catholic way. May this school year be a time of growth, not only in knowledge but also in virtues. THANK YOU to all who continue to contribute generously to the Building and Maintenance Fund. This week another big work was done. The flat roof of the hall was replaced and we hope that there will be no more leaks and dangers of slippery floors. Also, the uneven surface in front of the music room has been repaired. The school also has some significant works done using the schools separate budget.
