Prop Notes Radio

This is a prop because our Script contains this item for Percy (Carl) as a distraction from being bored of mopping the floor. He uses this as he starts mopping the floor in the corridor Block D, when the tense and suspenseful atmosphere occurs. We chose this prop because it is a stereotypical item as most janitors are known to have music playing in the background whilst they clean an area. It is used by Percy (Carl) to indicate his stereotypical work like. Floor mop/Duster

This is a prop because Percy (Carl) is mopping the floor, as he is one of the Janitors for the school. This is used when he will go to the cupboard to get it, this is the scene in which the atmosphere is tense and things go wrong. E.g. radio turns on and off, suddenly the boss appears, running tap water etc. We chose this prop due to the obvious fact that Percy is a janitor.

Phone

This is used by Percy (Carl). It is a Blackberry in which he talks to his wife with. This is used because we want the audience to know that he lives a unhappy life as a janitor but he lies to his wife saying that hes at the office. We chose this phone to be in the movie because it is a modern phone and it goes with the background of the office worker. It is a smart phone and those who are known to be office workers tend to have these types of phones, for business. However, our movie shows differently, Percy is a janitor not an office worker and so his use of smart phone is pointless. By Mariam Nawab
