MEMORANDUM

TO: INTERESTED PARTIES FROM: ADAM GELLER RE: SURVEY RESULTS AMONG INDIANA GOP PRIMARY VOTERS DATE: FEBRUARY 10, 2012 Senator Richard Lugar holds a commanding 55%-30% lead over challenger Richard Mourdock in the initial ballot of the statewide survey we just completed. Our survey additionally shows that 64% of Republican primary voters in the Hoosier state approve of the job that Lugar has done as US Senator, while only 39% approve of the job that Mourdock has done as State Treasurer. Senator Lugars initial ballot lead is both broad and deep. A closer look at the data reveals: Lugar leads 52%-35% among men and 58%-25% among women. Lugar leads 62%-26% among seniors. Lugar leads 53%-32% among Evangelicals. The poll also finds that there is a vast reservoir of good-will and support for Senator Lugar, including his tireless effort to override President Obamas rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline, and his efforts to reduce wasteful government spending in Washington.

National Research Inc. conducted a telephone survey of 600 Likely Republican Primary Voters in Indiana on February 8-9, 2012. The margin of error for this survey +/- 4% at the 95% confidence interval.
