What We Have Learned This Week: When we arrived at the high school on
Tuesday morning, I had no idea what we were in store for. The Auburn High School students involved with the production of Cinderella are the most talented group of young men and women I have ever seen!!! I just cant say enough about how amazing the play was! I highly recommend that you go see it this weekend, if you havent already! Wow! We have been super-busy working on market products this week! It is all slowly, but surely coming along. We have made a TON of boomerangs and didgeridoos. We went through a lot of trial and error with the dilly bags, but I think weve figured it out the most efficient way of making them. Next week, we will continue making dilly bags and start on Ngaka Ngaka (tic-tac-toe games). Not only have we been busy making products, but our newly opened bank, The Muny Backe, has had a tremendous amount of business!! Each day, the children record how many pennies they earn in their bank books. What an excellent life lesson at such a young age hard work truly pays off!! Have I mentioned that we have caterpillars in our room??? About a week and a half ago, 5 tiny caterpillars arrived in the mail. We have watched as those itty bitty caterpillars have eaten their way into big, fat caterpillars. Within the last two days, they have all spun their chrysalises and will soon become beautiful Painted Lady butterflies!
Happy Birthday!!! Happy birthday to Xavier Allen, who turned 6 years old Sunday, the 22nd!!! We celebrated on Monday with some delicious cupcakes!!!
