THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD
Jesus ascended into heaven. He disappeared before our eyes but He never leaves us. He is present through His Holy Spirit, through the Sacraments, through the Priest, through Gods Word in the Bible, through the worshipping community which is the Church and through His creation in our world. His presence is manifested in many ways. He will never leave us as He promised, I will be with you until the end of the ages (Mt. 28:20).

Program: Hula Dancers Lunch: Orange chicken, rice, vegetables$5.00

Join the Experience of a Lifetime

The Knights of Columbus are having their Annual Membership Drive this weekend. Knights will be available after Mass to answer questions and to provide information. We urge the men of our Parish to take a few minutes to learn more about the worlds largest Catholic Family Fraternal Organization.

SPIRITUAL HARVEST
Congratulations to the children of our parish who have received First Communion on May 12, 2012. Today also many young people in the parish will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. We pray that the sacraments they receive will make them grow in their spiritual life and make them Christ-like.

Plants
Please do not water the plants in the church. We have a regular crew of helpers who tend the plants. They have found several plants with pots full of water. The standing water is a breeding ground for gnats. Please help us keep our plants healthy!

Tuition Assistance Fund

Thank you to our many generous parishioners and the St. Columba Mens Club who made it possible to help 17 families with their tuition this school year. Please continue to use the yellow envelopes found in the pews and in your monthly offering envelopes set. With the new year approaching, there are many new families who need your help. Thank you for your support of this worthwhile program!

Bulletin Board
Have you noticed the new bulletin board in the Hall? If your group has any flyers or photos they would like displayed, there is a basket in the back of the church to place them in. Please label your pictures with name and group, and whether you want them returned. For any questions, call Jane (619) 442-4826 or Susan (858) 2788360.
