    1) An all-girl science camp called Go Girl is held at George Washington University's campus in Ashburn, Virginia for 16 teenage girls from Loudoun County Public Schools. 2) The camp focuses on hands-on experiments in molecular biology and genomics to introduce the girls to research in science fields. Activities include examining their own DNA and comparing genetic strands. 3) Students said they enjoyed learning science in this hands-on way and that it made them more interested in pursuing science careers than they would be from traditional high school biology classes.
