1. Bonnie Rodriguez was selected as the new SAC’s Sustainability Council representative.
This council meets every third Thursday of the month (while school is in session) and discusses
any “green” projects, issues and recommendations on campus. Bonnie will be serving as the
SAC representative and will be reporting back to the SAC on what has been discussed.

2. The SAC Coat drive program is finalized: it will run from January 8 through January 20, 2010.
Council members will be responsible to oversee the bins in their respective buildings and inform
the members of the coat drive committee once the bins are full. Kathy Aliaga has organized a
storage facility for the time of the program.

3. The Staff Issues Committee has been re-staffed, with Jan Drobnick and Gayle Keahey heading
the committee. This committee will discuss and review any questions, concerns or issues
brought up by the staff and will make sure that the appropriate steps are taken to bring them to
the administration’s attention, if necessary.

4. The question was raised if there will indeed be tuition reimbursement for three classes in the
future, as discussed before. The Staff Issues Committee will look into this issue.

5. The question was raised how to best relay SAC information back to the respective departments.
The SAC’s feedback ranged from weekly newsletters, distribution lists to update at monthly staff
meetings or simply a summary email to the entire department.

6. There was no old business to discuss.

7. Meeting adjourned.

Next meeting: January 13, 2010, 12 – 1 pm

Respectfully submitted,

Saskia Sawyer
