Can the Affordable Care Act end Federal prohibition on Medical Marijuana, Part 2

This week for the 33rd time, Congress failed to repel the Affordable Care Act. As the sound bites intensify & each partys convention draws near. This Congress will continue to block any progressive or beneficial legislation. The Supreme Court ruling upholding this act, usual name calling & propaganda base attacks not the real issues or solutions; the agenda for both candidates until election day. Until then, those who need the help, the disabled will be collateral damage. The Oregon Cannabis Tax Act (Measure 80) & other states continuous Cannabis campaigns are vital during this time since they can work with the Administration in place to further the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. In addition, this interaction between the states & providers should be the blue print the Federal departments model a clear, concise Federal Medical Marijuana policy. In the Act, TITLE IVPREVENTION OF CHRONIC DISEASE AND IMPROVING PUBLIC HEALTH Subtitle A Modernizing Disease Prevention and Public Health Systems [SEC. 4001. NATIONAL PREVENTION,
HEALTH PROMOTION 12 AND PUBLIC HEALTH COUNCIL.] (a) Establishment- the President shall establish, within the Department of Health and Human Services, a council. This council would consist of the following: The Secretary of Health and Human Services, Agriculture, Education, Transportation, and Homeland Security. Also, included in this council: the Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission, the Administrator of the EPA, the Director of the office of National Drug Control Policy, the Director of Domestic Policy Council, the Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs and the chairman of the Corporation for National and Community Services. The council chairperson will be the Surgeon General. One of the duties of this council will be to provide coordination and leadership at the Federal level, and among all Federal departments and agencies, with respect to prevention, wellness and health promotion practices, the public health system, and integrative health care in the United States. Ultimately, the pandering each candidate is doing will end in November. Hopefully, at that time, the politricking will stop & the rebuilding of this country will begin. In addition, after two years the Affordable Care Act can be implemented to help those who are desperately looking for equal, leveled healthcare.
