    Greetings, It is with pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Michelle Kemp. Ms. Kemp has been employed as a substitute teacher in the Saranac CSD for the past several years. During the last two years, she has filled three long term subbing positions under my direction in two first grade classrooms, as well as a third grade special education/RTl provider. Ms. Kemp has also subbed on a a daily basis at all grade levels and in special area classes. She has become an integral part of the Morrisonville School family and is requested quite frequently

    Kemp is a positive, enthusiastic teacher. She spends many hours preparing for instruction and collaborating with other professionals in the building. Ms. Kemp maintains order in the classroom using a firm, yet gentle approach with the children. She understands the systems that are in place, such as PBIS and utilizes them appropriately.

    During instruction, Ms. Kemp is well prepared and organized. She has all materials readily available. Ms. Kemp varies her approach utilizing whole class instruction, centers, and one on one delivery. Students clearly know what is expected of them in each setting. She also makes use of the conrputer lab; assisting students with writing their own creative stories, among other activities.

    As a substitute teacher, Ms. Kemp has always gone above and beyond. She has given of her own time to dress as the school mascot for a special Holiday Reading Night. She also prepared a technology presentation for the faculty. The presentation included many free websites arrd materials that are accessible for classroom use. Several teachers commented about the usefulness of the presentation and their desire to apply what they had learned.
    It is without reservation that I highly recommend Ms. Michelle Kemp to an elementary teaching position. She is knowledgeable, positive and enthusiastic. She will be an asset to your school. Sincerely,
