    Adoration for Vocations

    June 9, 2011

    Theme: The Spirit of the Lord fills us with peace. Introduction:


    The resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ won victory over death through saving us from our sinfulness. In todays gospel, we are invited to open our heart and minds with the Holy Spirit that we may learn to forgive others and overcome our weaknesses which leads us to our Lord, our peace.

    Opening Song First Reading: Acts 2:1-11 Second Reading: 1 Cor 12:3-7. 12-13 Gospel Acclamation: Jn 20:19-23 Silent Reflection or Homily Community Prayer:
    Lord Jesus, Savior of the world, you gave your Spirit to the apostles with the power to forgive sins. Send us that same Spirit to enlighten our minds and hearts as your faithful witnesses. By the power of your Holy Spirit, inspire good laborers to your harvest, call them in a special way and sustain them with the graces they need. At times of struggles, grant us the strength to follow you generously. Pour out your life-giving Spirit on us and cleanse our hearts with the peace that is only found in you. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
