    DEATH INVESTIGATION

    The Grand Rapids Police Department Major Case Team is investigating the death of a 51 year old female that was located inside a vacant building in the 700 block S. Division Ave. The Grand Rapids Fire Department had initially responded to the 911call at 6:53 a.m., reporting a medical involving a white female not breathing. Grand Rapids Police officers arrived and the female was deceased. Officers began their investigation and located the 911 caller. The cause of death could not be determined at the scene. An autopsy was conducted this afternoon and the results of this examination are pending. At this time the deceaseds name is being withheld pending family notification. Anyone with further information about this incident is asked to call the Grand Rapids Police Department at 456-3604 or Silent Observer at 774-2345.
