Winter Coaster: Note: Coaster is made by holding one strand of cotton yarn and one strand of crochet thread held together. Round 1) Holding white yarn and blue cotton thread together, ch 3 (counts as 1st hdc), 9 hdc in 3rd ch from hook, join with sl st to top of beg ch 3. Do Not Turn. (10 hdc) Round 2) Ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each remaining st around, join with sl st to top of beg ch 2. Do Not Turn. (20 hdc) Round 3) Ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), hdc in same st, hdc in next st, *2 hdc in next st, hdc in next st*, repeat from * to * around, join with sl st to top of beg ch 2. Do Not Turn. (30 hdc) Round 4) Ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), hdc in same st, hdc in next 2 sts, *2 hdc in next st, hdc In next 2 sts*, repeat from * to * around, join with sl st to top of beg ch 2. End off Blue Cotton Thread Round 5) Continuing on with white yarn only, ch 1, 2 sc in same st, skip next st, *(sl st, ch 1, 2 sc) in next st, skip next st*. Repeat from * to * around, join with sl st in same st as beg ch 1. End off, weave in ends.
