Project: Grundfos Pumps India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai Green Building Rating Sought for: Gold Our consulting team is an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and is extensively involved in the LEED green building system design and promotion initiatives. We are currently working meticulously to make the Grundfos Pumps corporate office in Thorapakkam, Chennai as the First Green Building in Tamil Nadu and the Third Green Building in India. The Grundfos Pumps corporate office spreading over an area of 25,000 sq. ft has sought for a Gold Rating and our organization has guided them through the entire process. The green building design for this project includes: Energy efficient HVAC and electrical equipment and systems design providing considerable energy savings of over 25% High efficiency water system design resulting in water use reduction by over 40% Effective use of recycled materials for over 15% of the project cost Utilization of regionally manufactured ma terials for over 60% of the project cost thereby reducing the impact of environmental pollution Exemplary performance on construction waste management diverting close to 98% of the construction waste generated at site Unique building design providing excellent day lighting for over 75% of the interior spaces thereby reducing the lighting load significantly Advanced HVAC system design providing superior occupant comfort and excellent indoor air quality Implementation of green house keeping techniques that help reduce the impact of non-eco-friendly chemicals and solutions.
