The award is open to prospective full-time research students wishing to undertake the MPhil/PhD at the Institute. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit. Subject to satisfactory academic progress, most are tenable for the standard duration of a student's programme of study. This award is not open to students currently registered on a research degree programme at the Institute.
