Training Overview

Failure analysis is discovering what caused an unexpected problem and recommending the right corrective action. Cashmans Applied Failure Analysis (AFA) training was organized to provide affordable, high-quality, field failure analysis training and assistance. Quickly and efficiently finding the root cause of each product failure enhances every aspect of factory, dealer, and customer business. The AFA training is a two part program (Courses I and II), taught by Darrel Davis, a 30 year Caterpillar service department veteran. Course I helps each student understand basic failure analysis principles and how to apply them. Course II reviews the basic principles and applies them to more difficult components. (Course II should be taken six months to a year after Course I.)

May 17-21, AFA Course II Training May 24-28, AFA Course I Training

Sept. 13-17, AFA Course II Training Sept. 21-26, AFA Course I Training

All classes will be held in Nevada; training locations will be determined based on enrollment. Course materials, lunch and refreshments included in class cost of $1,200. PO required in advance of class confirmation.
