Failure analysis is discovering what caused an unexpected problem and recommending the right corrective action. Cashmans Applied Failure Analysis (AFA) training was organized to provide affordable, high-quality, field failure analysis training and assistance. Quickly and efficiently finding the root cause of each product failure enhances every aspect of factory, dealer, and customer business. The AFA training is a two part program (Courses I and II), taught by Darrel Davis, a 30 year Caterpillar service department veteran. Course I helps each student understand basic failure analysis principles and how to apply them. Course II reviews the basic principles and applies them to more difficult components.
