APPLY QUALITY STANDARDS AND PROCEDURES Unit Descriptor This unit deals with the skills and knowledge

required to apply quality standards and procedures within tourism, hospitality and caravan industry enterprises. PERFORMANCE CRITERIA 1. Identify and interpret standards applicable to the workplace or industry. 2. Identify enterprise and/or industry quality requirements and confirm understanding with relevant personnel. 3. Handle and complete all documentation in accordance with enterprise procedures. 1. Apply standards for individual and team-related activities. 2. Compare performance to documented requirements. 3. Detect non-compliance to quality standards. 1. Complete quality system documentation, recording all relevant data. 2. Record instances of non-compliance in standard format. 3. Communicate recommendations for improving workplace procedures, services or activities to appropriate personnel. 1. Continue performance monitoring to ensure product or service standards are maintained or improved. 2. Participate in organization quality improvement processes where applicable. 3. Promote the quality concept within the workplace. 4. Communicate openly in the monitoring of procedures and quality practices. 5. Make suggestions for improvements to quality standards and specifications, where appropriate.
