On September 15, 2004, Professor Brje Holmberg visited the University of Maryland University College and gave a presentation to students and faculty of the MDE program which was captured on video (http://marconi.umuc.edu/ramgen/GSMT/omde/2004holmberg.rm). His lecture, 'The Empathy Approach to Distance Education' will give you additional insight into his contribution to the DE literature, in particular, his ideas about the practice of empathy in DE.
