BASED ON EMBEDDED SYSTEMS

INTRODUCTION
A Device that enables the blind person to read pdf files. The Device will also be having the functionality of reading the time and date from an RTC and displaying it in Braille Format The Device also supports Bookmarking.

BUILDING BLOCKS

The Device mainly comprises of

SD Card as Memory Decoder Pad Containing many Braille cells

BLOCK I

SD CARD TO MICROCONTROLLER INTERFACE

SD

CARD is used in storage of pdf files. These Pdf files are later decoded by a microcontroller into raw text. The Communication between SD card and Microcontroller is done in SPI mode

Our Microcontroller Performs Decoding of Input stream i.e Pdf files from SD card. The Microcontroller used in this Process is ATMega8

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM FOR DECODER

We Connect 50K Resistors to ~SS ,MOSI and MISO. These resistors are to ensure that no floating values are transmitted between the Atmega8 and the SD card

BLOCK III(BRAILLE PAD)

Braille pad comprises of 10 Cells. Each cell is a 3x2 Matrix,Whose Combinations of Projections and depressions denotes the character being displayed Thank you
