Reverse the car safely into a road on the right. Discuss the routine and consider safety aspects, followed by a demo if required and then practice under instruction. Be able to reverse into a road on the right.

Main Points: WHY As left reverse - wrong turn, dead ends etc Not possible to do TIR or U-Turn or no road on left to reverse into. You have no view through the rear window Your view to the sides is restricted (in a van or loaded estate car) Safe/Convenient/Legal No obstructions on corner - Away from children Enough space (diagram) Extra care and observations required when doing right reverse. You are on the wrong side of the road - Frequent forward checks. Front end will swing out at point of turn - narrowing road. Look over left shoulder when reversing straight and over right shoulder (out of window) when steering round the corner.

CONTROL Very slow using clutch control (brake control if downhill) 4 Parts. Manoeuvre onto right hand side of road - Straight reverse Steer round corner - Straight reverse METHOD Similar to left reverse with additional manoeuvre - See Diagram.
