MRI & IVISCT OF COCHLEA:

MR imaging of Cochlea was performed and high resolution 'i'2-weighted serial sections obtained in the coronal, axial planes on a 3.0 Tesla scanner with high strength gradients. MSCT imaging was performed using sub millimeter thin contiguous axial scan of temporal bone. The stud reveals evidence of tortuous course of ri ht osterior inferior y . . . . . . . th cerehbellar artery coursmg Into rnternal auchtory canal causmg lndentatlon over 7 & nerve complex. The semicircular canal appears normal on either side.
The first, second and basal turns of cochlea appear normai.

The petrous pyramids appear normal and symmetrical. The mastoid air cells are clear and pneumatized. The tympanic cavity and external auditory canal are normal. The cerebeiio-pontine angle cistern is clear and symmetrical on each side. The other imaged portions of the neurocranium are unremarkable.
