    HOW-TO OCR A .

    PDF FILE USING OMNIPAGE PRO


    (NOT All .PDF Files Can Be OCRd)
    Step 1: Open OmniPage Pro. Step 2: Click the Start Processing button. Step 3: Select a .PDF file you wish to OCR when the Load Files window appears. Step 4: You can select a range of pages at the bottom of this screen. NOTE: It defaults to all pages. Step 5: Click the OK button. The OCR process begins A. Close the OCR Proofreader window. Step 6: Watch the Load Files progress and the Recognize Images progress bars to see how the document is progressing. Or B. Proofread (could find a lot of undefined words).

    NOTE: This could take up to or longer than 20 minutes depending on the size of the document.

    Step 7: Save OCRd file as a .PDF when prompted. Step 8: Close OmniPage. Step 9: Open .PDF in Adobe to search for text. NOTE: Search feature in Adobe works better.
