August 2012 Scholarships Started!

I cannot think of two more appropriate recipients for the Lee TenHarmsel Scholarship Fund than Aldair Pott and Keila Serrano of San Narciso and San Roman, Corozal, Belize. These two young people have been studying music for five years: with me, with Abraham, and with their school music teachers. They express a deep desire to continue using their gifts at their home church (Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in San Narciso) and their church mission (in San Victor). Both Keila and Aldair were of great help during this last music conference in Belize. They are registered and will begin commuter music classes on Saturdays this fall at a seminary extension in Chetumal, Mexico; Aldair with the guitar and Keila with the keyboard.

Music Mosaic will be covering Aldair and Keilas tuition for the two-year program. You can be a part of their education by contributing to the scholarship fund!

Belize Music Conference, June 2012 We so enjoyed our week with Abraham and Luci and the music students at the different churches we visited last month. I was able to see many of my former students, some of whom I hadnt seen in two years. Here are a few pictures go to Music Mosaics Facebook site for the whole set.

The fact that Keila and Aldair are headed to music school makes me feel confident that music ministry in the churches will continue through them and others, and allows me to look at places in Mexico for Music Mosaics future conferences. Contribution Opportunities We are planning to be in Merida, Yucatan with Quality Car Wash coupons $6 two churches in April, and I have a couple options to explore for next summer, also in Mexico.
