Simotas Statement About Global Kids
ASTORIA, N.Y. Assemblymember Aravella Simotas met with the Global Kids Greening Western Queens Summer Institute on July 11. Over 25 students from Long Island City and William Cullen Bryant High Schools, volunteers and staff visited Simotas office to share their experiences and to hear from the legislator. Simotas encouraged the young leaders to keep working on environmental and other issues in the community. Choose to do something you love, something you are passionate about and you will be successful, Simotas told the students. I am so inspired by the work Global Kids leaders are doing. We are so lucky to have such bright and inquiring young people in out community. Simotas plans to continue working with the Global Kids leaders to help them help our community develop sound environmental policies.
