Voltage Regulator Relay - AVR
The Voltage Regulator Relay - AVR is used to maintain within adjusted limits the voltage in the secondary of power transformers equipped with on-load tap changers (OLTC). It indicates line voltages and loads, line current, active, apparent, and reactive powers, frequency, and power factor. The regulation is obtained when the voltage is deviated for a certain amount of time beyond the preset parameter, causing command pulses from the AVR to the OLTC, which raises or lowers taps, maintaining the secondary voltage. In transformers without parallel operation, the AVR can be used jointly with the Position
Indicator PI, which performs the Manual/Automatic and Raise/Lower selections. For parallel operation, the AVR is applied with the Paralleling Supervisor SPS, which performs the paralleling command and supervision of up to 6 transformers through the Master-Slave method. Paralleling through the circulating current method is available but is subject to consultation regarding the system configuration. Characteristics: Alphanumeric LCD Display for local indication.
RS-485 serial communication with Modbus RTU protocol. Block by undervoltage and overcurrent. Overcurrent protection: function for rapid voltage reduction. Line voltage drop offset through impedance or resistance and reactance. Linear temporization or reverse integration temporization. Integration with a paralleling system through the master-slave method. Indication of electrical parameters. Adjustable relation of CT and PT.
