    Cait Bonner has been awarded Staff of the Month at the Page Mill YMCA. She grew up in Washington state where she studied marine biology and worked for the Department of Ecology.     Congratulations to Cait Bonner!


    Born and raised on Vashon Island, Washington, Cait lived with her parents and two older brothers in a log cabin her dad built in the middle of the forest. Cait has a bachelors degree in Biology from Western Washington University. She took the opportunity to travel abroad and studied Marine Biology in Australia where she also got her dive license at the Great Barrier Reef. Back at Washington state, she worked for the Department of Ecology as a Stream Hydrology Technician and also worked in a physical therapy clinic. Cait loves the outdoors and youll find her playing soccer, mountain biking, running or dancing during her spare time. She knows how to fly a plane and even rebuilt an airplane. Cait moved to the Bay Area last September and has been a wonderful addition to the Page Mill Y family. She says that working at the Y reminds her of home because of the small community feel the Page Mill Y has. She enjoys chatting with our members and discovering the different types of lives they lead. Cait is especially intrigued by the energy, diversity, intelligence and driven attitude everyone has. It is a bit of a culture shock to her, but it has been a positive experience so far. The one thing Cait misses most about Washington is being very near to water, but she is looking forward to exploring more of Californias great outdoors and on the top of her list is to go backpacking in Yosemite.
