Obesity and Osteoarthritis

Obesity is an energy balance disorder in which nutrient intake chronically exceeds energy expenditure, resulting in excessive white adipose tissue accumulation. Osteoarthritis (OA) Common disease, clinically manifested by joint pain, swelling and progressive loss of function.
Obesity is an important risk factor for OA in most joints.
