Theme: Travel Stage/Aim/Skill/Microskill Activity/Procedure Warm-up: Two truths and a lie (related Warm-up to travel) Linking & Transitioning Introduce topics and theme for the day. Refresh Ss with Future Perf & Future Activity 1 Perf Prog. Stages: Pre, During, Post; ----Transition to Activity 2 Activity: Groups read about my evil twin and continue the story using future perfect tense. Standing, groups share their stories about my evil twin with each other and the class. Fragment/Run-on mini lesson. Groups: Ss make travel itineraries and then look for fragments and run-ons in their writing. Groups go around the class and share their itineraries with each other. (*make note that students must try to do their best to remember each others itineraries) Groups then present the itineraries of other groups to the class. Activity 2 Stages: Pre, During, Post; Transition to Activity 3

Activity 3 granted in our home country when Stages: Pre, During, Post traveling: Haircut S-S pairs Transition to Activity 4 or to Wrap up Pairs: What are things that are taken for granted in your hometown but can become big problems when traveling in a foreign county? Give some examples from China. (tips, cell phone numbers 888, Chinese toilets) Pairs discuss this topic for several minutes then groups rotate. (one person moves in each group.) Students share their stories again. Students share their stories with the class.
