Groups: Ss make travel itineraries and then look for fragments and run-ons in their writing. Groups go around the class and share their itineraries with each other. (*make note that students must try to do their best to remember each others itineraries) Groups then present the itineraries of other groups to the class. Give some examples from China. (tips, cell phone numbers 888, Chinese toilets) Pairs discuss this topic for several minutes then groups rotate. (one person moves in each group.)
