TEACHERS LESSON PLAN LEVEL: 4TH COURSE LEVEL IB UNIT # 7: LOST WORLDS UNIT AIMS: In this Unit, Students will learn how to form and use the Past Perfect. They will also learn new vocabulary, and to form nouns adding suffixes (-r, -er, -or, and -ist), to talk about lost worlds. Finally they will also learn how to write short stories. NUMBER OF LESSONS IN THIS UNIT: 40 NUMBER OF WEEKLY LESSONS: 8 DATE: April 30 to May 4, 2012 LESSON AIMS: 1 and 2. Students will be able to read and listen "A City in the Jungle", underline verbs and answer to questions. They will also be able to take dictation of a text about The Mayans. 3 and 4. Students will be given a presentation of the Past Perfect Tense, in the form of a time line, then in form of a chart including positive, negative, interrogative and short answers. Then they will do some multiple choice and fill-in exercises. 5 and 6. Students will make as many sentences as they can out of a chart in a game: boys against girls. Also, students will find things in a picture. Finally, they will tell a story about a real situation they have lived in the past. 7 and 8. Students will read and listen a tapescript about "The Paintings of Lascaux". Then they will do some exercises about the reading. ACTIVITIES: RESOURCES: 1 and 2. Book, p. 50.
