Job Description, Duties and Responsibilities

Communications Strategy Group (CSG) is currently seeking a public relations intern for our Health & Wellness practice. CSG is a seven-year-old firm with an impressive client list; learn more about us at www.csg-pr.com/health-wellness. CSGs internships provide a rich opportunity to learn about PR, media relations and overall communications strategy. The perfect applicant will have the ability to execute a variety of tasks, owning all projects from start to finish. An interest in health and wellness is helpful and writing skills are critical. We also prefer our candidates be personable, organized and self-motivated. We desire a listener who is intuitive, confident and willing to jump into assignments with enthusiasm and dedication. Because this practice works in a variety of health-focused areas, the ability to tactfully handle sensitive client subject matter is vital. Functionally, our intern will have a variety of opportunities: writing articles, blog posts and other copy, assisting with business development efforts, conducting research, pitching the media, tracking press hits and brainstorming story ideas. Experience writing for the web, understanding of SEO and knowledge of html is preferred, but not necessary. The experience should be challenging, rewarding and fun. We seek students in their junior or senior year pursuing a bachelors degree in communications, public relations, marketing or other applicable studies. The internship timeline is part time through the fall semester; and although the specific number of hours each week is flexible, we would like an intern to be able to commit at least 16 hours per week. Please send a resume and 2-3 writing samples to Molly Koch at mkoch@csg-pr.com no later than Friday, August 31, 2012. Location: Denver office Stipend: Unpaid/school credit if possible
