UNIT # Animal Life Cycles UNIT AIMS: To understand about the way animals live and about their surroundings NUMBER OF LESSONS IN THIS UNIT: 16 NUMBER OF WEEKLY LESSONS: 4 LESSON # #1: Characteristics of animals #2: Types of cells #3:Body characteristics of animals DATE: May 22nd 2012 LESSON AIMS: #1: to understand the characteristics of animals #2: to analyze the different types of cells #3: to know the body characteristics of animals ACTIVITIES: RESOURCES: #1: ask students about how their domestic - information from internet pets act in their house and ask questions -science book referring to their behavior. Then read out loud -notebook pg 28 and analyze the five characteristics and -pictures of animals give examples of each characteristics #2: ask students if they know what a cell is and what is it made of. Then explain the two types of cells that exist and examples of both forms of these cells #3: show different pictures about animals then analyze thes structure of these animals and explain the most common characteristic of how the body and development of these animals help classify these animals to its species ASSESSMENT: -class participation -questions and answers LEARNING OUTCOMES: -students will be able to understand about the animals life and characterisitics af animals and their habitat NOTES: Friday no class ( May 25th)
